|Jia Perkins last suited up in EuroLeague Women for Galatasaray in the 2009-10 season|
Good Angels Kosice have completed a major roster change after clinching the signature of Jia Perkins at the expense of A'dia Mathies.
The Slovak Republic champions have brought in the veteran experience of the guard in a bid to bolster their backcourt firepower and avoid slumping to a third consecutive home loss.
After losing to both UMMC Ekaterinburg and Tango Bourges on home soil, the club have acted to re-ignite their season after Mathies found it tough to make an impact during her rookie year in the competition.
The 22-year-old averaged 6.6 points in 25 minutes per game and with the team averaging a woeful 22% from long-range, with head coach Maros Kovacik no doubt hoping the arrival of Perkins can help to address this worrying flaw.
The New Yorker returns to EuroLeague Women having showed her scoring ability with Galatasaray during the 2009-10 season, when she averaged 15.6 points per game.
Perkins has an impressive resume on the other side of The Pond, having averaged a double-digit scoring return during each of her last seven summers playing in the WNBA for Antonio Silver Stars and Chicago Sky.
