Italy head coach Simone Pianigiani has called up 16 players to train from 17-24 July and ahead of the "City of Trento" international tournament 25-27 July.
Among those selected are uncapped guard Massimo Chessa and center Daniele Magro.
The Azzurri will square off against Finland on the opening day of the tournament, before facing Bosnia and Herzegovina on day two and Montenegro on day three.
All three teams participated at last year's EuroBasket and feature in the Qualification Round this summer, attempting to reach the Final Round in Slovenia next year.
Italy's Qualification Round campaign has suffered an early blow, as Andrea Bargnani and Alessandro Gentile are out due to injuries, while the participation of Marco Belinelli is uncertain.
The Italians will play in Group F against Turkey, the Czech Republic, Belarus and Portugal.
The top two sides from each of the six Qualification Round groups and the four best third-place teams will progress next year's big event in Slovenia.
