The Yugoslav "Golden Generation"upon winning the 1970 World Championship

The Yugoslav "golden generation" from the 1970 World Championship will reconvene in Ljubljana on 18th and 19th of August.

Head coach Ranko Žeravica, his assistant Lazar Lečić, captain Ivo Daneu and fellow players Dragutin Čermak, Nikola Plečaš, Petar Skansi, Damir Šolman, Rato Tvrdić, Aljoša Žorga and Boris Kristančič will come to the host city of the EuroBasket 2013 Final Round on the invitation of the President of Slovenia, Borut Pahor.

Fans will be able to meet the players on Sunday at 18:30 at the opening of the new Slovenian House of Sports (Breg 2, 1000 Ljubljana), then on Monday at the presentation of the second edition of the book "Stolen Dreams - Yugoslav Basketball" (by Spanish author Juanan Hinojo and translated into Slovene language by Katja Temnik) in Maček Café in old Ljubljana town.

The team will also be present at Sunday's EuroBasket 2013 preparation game between Slovenia and Russia, during which they will be honoured at half-time in a special presentation.

On Monday Ivo Daneu will be bestowed the highest sporting accolade in Slovenia when President Borut Pahor awards him the golden honour for outstanding sporting achievements and services to Slovenia.

The two day event will also see members of the golden generation team visit the exhibition, "Luna vasa, zlata naša" (Your Moon, Our Gold) at the Slovenian Museum of Modern History in Ljubljana, which will remain open until the end of EuroBasket 2013.
