|Layshia Clarendon has sustained a foot injury which brought to an end her time in Prague|
Clarendon sustained a foot injury in the ZBL at the end of December and it has brought her rookie pro-season to a premature conclusion.
She had struggled to spark her season into life in EuroLeague Women, with head coach Natalia Hejkova relying heavily on a tight core rotation and consequently Clarendon only managed an average of 11 minutes per game.
Robinson arrives having not played since last summer in the WNBA with the San Antonio Silver Stars, when she also had her season ended early with a knee injury.
However, the playmaker does have a proven EuroLeague Women pedigree, having poured in an impressive 15.4 points per game with Tarsus Belediye last year.
She also dished up 4.3 assists and is therefore likely to facilitate some additional rest for standout veteran Laia Palau, who has been carrying a heavy but successful workload in the backcourt.
After winning their first five games, ZVVZ USK Prague were recently defeated for the second time in three games when they lost in agonising fashion to Sparta&K M.R. Vidnoje, going down 67-66 on their home court.
Robinson will however have some precious time to adjust, since her team are not in EuroLeague Women action next week.
She is likely to debut on 05 February when ironically, she will return to Turkey in a mouth-watering clash against Galatasaray odeabank.
