|Maurita Reid comes to Energa Torun from PEAC-Pécs|
Energa Torun have already assembled half of their roster ahead of what promises to be an exciting rookie campaign in EuroLeague Women.
The Polish newcomers will step up into the elite level competition for 2014-15 and have made a move to tie up the services of several players.
Headlining their acquisitions so far is EuroCup Women standout Maurita Reid, who played with PEAC-Pecs last season and showcased her extensive skill-set by averaging 12.8 points, 6.1 rebounds and 4.3 assists per game.
The Jamaican born star has previous EuroLeague Women experience under her belt from a brief stint with Gospic Croatia, with the 28-year-old having also played EuroCup Women with Hatis Yerevan.
Aleksandra Pawlak arrives at the club after four consecutive years at Widzew Lodz. The forward averaged 13.9 points and 5.3 rebounds per game last season in the Polish League.
She will be joined by her Polish compatriots and national team duo Malgorzata Misiuk and Weronika Idczak, who recently helped their nation qualify for EuroBasket Women 2015.
Misuk has been picked up from Riviera Gdynia where she averaged an excellent 14.7 points and 6.7 rebounds per game last season, numbers which were the best of her career and gave her a senior debut for her country. Idczak meanwhile played at Torun last season and shot 40% from the three-point line for Poland last month.
There is also a contract extension with 33-year-old Jelena Velinovic. The Serbian center amassed 12.9 points and 6.9 rebounds per game last year, having joined the team mid-season.
Finally Rebecca Harris will make the switch from Row Rybnik where she spent the last three seasons, having previously played with Olympiakos Volou and Sparta Prague.
The 27-year-old will make her debut in a European club competition and showed her prowess in the Polish League with an average of 13.8 points, 5.3 boards and 2.5 assists each time she stepped onto the floor.
