Ljubljana Prepares For 3on3 Weekend

18 May 2012

As part of the celebrations for FIBA Europe's 10th anniversary, FIBA Europe 3on3 returns to its first ever venue, Ljubljana, Slovenia on Saturday and Sunday.

When the first FIBA Europe 3on3 was held in August 2011, more than 12,000 spectators witnessed the launch of an ambitious project that grew into a pan-European tour with more than 10 stops in less than nine months.

The 2012 tour has already seen five stops on Gran Canaria as well as one in Leon and has now arrived in the EuroBasket 2013 final venue, Ljubljana.

Including the upcoming Ljubljana event, the FIBA Europe 3on3 tour will see 10 tournaments between Sheffield, United Kingdom and Moscow Russia until the beginning of September.

Again, more than 60 teams are expected in Prešernov Square in the centre of the Slovenian capital for two days of 3on3 basketball, organised by the Slovenian Basketball Federation with the help of FIBA Europe.
