Finland needed a late rally to top Switzerland, 84-77, as they wrapped up their successful EuroBasket Qualification Round campaign in Group E.
Switzerland, whose own hopes of qualifying were already over, had started strong and then came back again to lead 64-62 with 6:46 left in the game.
But Finland's response was swift and decisive as they went on a 10-1 run to control the game through the final five minutes.
An excellent start from Switzerland saw the visitors leading 19-8 on Stefan Petkovic's lay-up with a minute left in the first quarter.
Finland responded with an 11-0 run to tie it early in the second quarter, but the game stayed close, with the lead flip-flopping between the two teams until half-time, when Finland nursed a 41-40 advantage.
It was not until late in the third quarter that either team was able to create any breathing room, with Switzerland going 59-53 up on Petkovic's free throws.
Finland soon responded but the Swiss had a 64-62 edge on Dusan Mladjan's three-pointer with a little under seven minutes to go.
That was Finland's cue to take charge.
Hanno Mottola's three snatched back the lead and another from Petteri Koponen soon after made it 70-65.
After Koponen's lay-up made it a seven point game, Switzerland never got close again.
Koponen led Finland with 24 points while Gerald Lee added 16, Shawn Huff 14 and Mottola 12.
Mladjan had 23 for Switzerland, with Petkovic adding 14.
