Lauren Jackson is back, and she means business! The Australia international was absent from the season-opening defeat of Sparta&K M.R. Vidnoje at VICI Aistes, but that didn't prevent her from leading the defending champions into avenging that shock result on Wednesday night, and capturing the EuroLeague Women Player of the Week title in the process. The 1.95m center reached a mind-blowing efficiency index rating of 40 against the Lithuanian side and is the first Sparta&K player to win the award this season. Jackson registered a double-double thanks to a season-high 28 points (including 5 of 5 from behind the arc!) and 14 rebounds. As if all that was not enough already, she blocked 2 shots and added another couple of assists and steals during her 31 minutes of play, to round up her stellar perfomance. Tina Charles was the main reason Nadezhda were able to stun Ros Casares in Valencia, achieving an excellent index rating of 35. That would be enough on most weeks to win her the title, but Wednesday was Jackson's night.
