Greece finished strongly to take a 65-49 win over Turkey and claim 11th place in classification action at the U16 European Championship Women.
Greece began strongly, and seven consecutive points in the opening period created separation. Evgenia Kollatou drained a three-pointer at the buzzer to give her team an 18-9 lead.
Turkey scored the first nine points of the second quarter to tie the game, but they could not maintain the charge and Maria Fasoula's lay-up gave Greece a 30-24 half-time advantage.
And Greece finally pulled clear with a 10-0 run late in the third quarter, capped by Zafeirenia Karlafti's three-pointer which pushed the lead to 16. Turkey pushed in the fourth quarter but could never get close.
Karlafti had a game-high 21 points plus two blocks. Fasoula added 18 points and nine rebounds and Kollatou finished with 13 points.
