|Natasa Kovacevic was prominent again for Serbia, picking up an 11-point, 10-rebound double-double|
In the first game of Group E, Serbia used a huge 19-0 run at the start of the second half on their way to down the Slovak Republic 54-43, and edge closer to a place in the quarter-finals of the U20 European Championship Women.
After Slovakia held 26-23 halftime lead, Ivana Brajkovic scored six straight points to spark a run of 19 unanswered points as Serbia took 46-29 lead into the fourth quarter and never looked back.
Offensive-minded Serbia won in somewhat of an uncharacteristic style, holding their opponents to only 25% shooting from the field.
Brajkovic finished with 13 points and 11 rebounds to lead in victory; Natasa Kovacevic had 11 points and 10 rebounds, while Aleksandra Stanacev also scored 11.
For Slovak Republic, Angelika Slamová scored 14 points while Zofia Hruscáková grabbed 16 rebounds along with her six points.
