|There will be none of these scenes this year with Lucila Pascua the last cut from the Spanish roster|
With an injury concern in relation to WNBA participant Sancho Lyttle having seemingly cleared up, leaving the forward free to join up with her colleagues, there was no room for Pascua.
Instead, Coach Mondelo opted for the experience of Cindy Lima under the basket, along with Laura Nicholls and also Laura Gil, who is one of three younger players set to make their tournament debuts with the senior national team.
There will also be a first outing for Queralt Casas, who catapulted herself into the forefront of the race to earn a place with some devastating defensive performances during preparation.
Alongside her in the backcourt will be Cristina Ouvina, another strong defensive player who is likely to also provide valuable back-up off the bench.
The roster was finalised after the conclusion of the team's last warm-up tournament which was held in France.
Having beaten Turkey and Canada, Spain suffered their first defeat in preparation with a 67-56 loss to the EuroBasket Women 2013 hosts who won the event.
The full roster is as follows: Silvia Dominguez (UMMC Ekaterinburg), Elisa Aguilar (Sparta&K M.R. Vidnoje), Laia Palau (CCC Polkowice), Cristina Ouvina (Wisla Can-Pack), Marta Xargay (Perfumerias Avenida), Queralt Casas (Rivas Ecopolis), Alba Torrens (Galatasaray), Amaya Valdemoro (Real Canoe), Sancho Lyttle (Galatasaray), Cindy Lima (Uni Gyor), Laura Gil (Burgos), Laura Nicholls (Rivas Ecopolis)
