Two vibrant performances by Stefan Petkovic and Dusan Mladjan propelled Switzerland to a 93-84 success against Albania in Group E of the EuroBasket Qualification Round.

The duo mustered a marvellous 49 points between them as the Swiss finished the contest strongly to move to two wins and three losses.

It was a game which Switzerland had dominated for long periods but a third quarter renaissance by Albania looked like it could have significant consequences for the home team.

Switzerland was rampant during the first half, firstly moving 24-15 in front after the opening ten minutes and then extending their advantage to 15 points heading into the second half.

Albania looked like a new team after they came out from the locker rooms and stunned the Swiss by outscoring them 27-15 to make it a new game entering the last quarter.

Just when Albania thought they might be able to continue their momentum, Switzerland came alive again and regained the upper hand to end Albanian dreams of a first win.

Gerti Shima poured in 29 points for the losing team while Endrit Hysenagolli had a creditable 16 points and 19 rebounds.
