|Eva Vitecková could hardly miss on Wednesday evening, making eight of her 10 shots from the field for ZVVZ USK Prague|
Unbeaten ZVVZ USK Prague maintained their stranglehold on EuroLeague Women Group C after Kia Vaughn and Eva Viteckova came up trumps in a 93-62 demolition of Kibirkstsis-VICI Vilnius.
The duo carried their team to a fantastic fifth straight win of the season, as the Lithuanian visitors went into meltdown after the half-time break.
A vibrant Vaughn proved far too hot to handle under the hoop and accumulated a fine double-double of 18 points and 15 rebounds as the home side ruled the glass at both ends of the floor.
Meanwhile veteran wing Viteckova produced one of her deadly shooting nights, the kind of which have graced the tournament for more than a decade.
She shot down Kibirkstis with 21 points from eight of ten floor-shooting, burying four triples.
It had looked like the away team might be capable of completing a potential shock in the early stages when they held a 19-18 lead.
But, USK Prague gradually began to turn the screw and after building a nine-point lead at the end of the half, proceeded to return and blow Kibirkstis away with a spectacular 30-11 third quarter.
Laia Palau continued to show why she could prove to be one of the most astute pick-ups of the summer by dishing up ten assists for the winning team.
Sofija Alexandravicius was the pick for Kibirkstis as they fell to a third straight loss. The center claimed 15 points and seven rebounds.
