Center Ante Tomic led Croatia in scoring and rebounding at EuroBasket 2011, with 16.6 points and 6.2 boards per game

Croatia coach Jasmin Repesa will not have center Ante Tomic for the EuroBasket 2013 Qualification Round games this summer.

The pivot has to undergo a nose operation and won't be able to play for a couple of months, a spokeswoman at the Croatian Basketball Federation has confirmed to Basketball World News.

The preliminary squad has been trimmed to 15 players.

Also gone from the original 24-man group are Dontaye Draper, Marin Rozic, Goran Vrbanc, Hrvoje Peric, Jakov Vladovic, Leon Radosevic, Miro Bilan, Darko Planinic and the 18-year-old star Dario Saric.

Pavle Marcinkovic, meanwhile, has been added to the squad.

Croatia will play against Ukraine, Cyprus, Austria and Hungary in Group C of the Qualification Round.

The first game will be at home against Cyprus on 18 August.

Latest Croatia squad: Roko Leni Ukic, Rok Stipcevic, Marko Car, Krunoslav Simon, Bojan Bogdanovic, Fran Pilepic, Damir Markota, Luksa Andric, Luka Zoric, Goran Suton, Stanko Barac, Damjan Rudez, Ivan Ramljak, Luka Babic and Pavle Marcinkovic.
