Anna Stamolamprou came up big for Greece, taking her team on a late 12-2 run to put them in front at the death

Greece pulled off another comeback to finish the U20 European Championship Women in ninth place, edging the Netherlands 56-52 in the classification game for 9th to 10th place and Sunday.

The Dutch finished the second quarter with a 9-0 run for a 31-24 halftime lead, and had as much as an 11-point advantage after the break.

They stayed in front until five minutes before the end, when Greece made a 12-2 run during which Anna Stamolamprou scored seven points, and Anthoula Chatzigiakoumi hit a triple to take it to 54-50.

With nine seconds to go, Stamolamprou scored again, sealing the deal.

Greece overcame a 40-33 deficit in rebounding, by outscoring their opponents in the paint, and getting 11 points from their bench, compared to only two from the Netherlands.

Stamolamprou finished with 16 points, while Artemis Spanou had 10 points and 11 boards for Greece.

Maxime Essenstam scored 15 points in defeat.
