Lipko welcomed passengers to Slovenia on Wednesday

Slovenian Prime Minister, Alenka Bratušek has been named as the president of the EuroBasket 2013 Honorary Board.

A delegation from the Slovenian Basketball Federation, led by their president Roman Volcic, was granted an audience with Ms Bratušek on Wednesday.

During the event, the delegation brought Ms Bratušek up to date with EuroBasket 2013 preparations.

During the course of the meeting, Ms Bratušek was also given the title of president of the EuroBasket 2013 Honorary Board. The board is scheduled to have its first meeting in the middle of May.

The two parties agreed on the importance of the event for Slovenia and will in the future enjoy closer coordination on some joint activities, asides from basketball.

 

Lipko Welcomes Passengers to Slovenia.

Lipko was also keeping busy on Wednesday, welcoming passengers arriving in Slovenia at Ljubljana Joze Pucnik Airport.

The airport is getting behind EuroBasket 2013 with the terminal adorned with signs promoting the event, including a large EuroBasket theme at the entrance to the airport.

As EuroBasket 2013 draws nearer, the promotion of the event at Ljubljana Joze Pucnik Airport is set to increase.

"We are glad to have EuroBasket in Slovenia, because for us that means that the number of our passengers will increase," said Janez Krašnja, marketing director of the airport.

"At the airport, we will warmly welcome all sporting fans and important guests, which will travel to Slovenia to see exciting games as well as national basketball teams and other basketball representatives."
