Recently crowned Turkish champions and EuroLeague Women Final Eight runners-up Fenerbahce, have signalled their intent for the 2013-14 season after inking deals with several returnees, as well as adding a trio of frontcourt stars.

Having announced back in February that key trio Ivana Matovic, Cappie Pondexter and Anastasiya Verameyenka would all be coming back for another year to join Birsel Vardarli and Angel McCoughtry who were on multi-year deals, the Istanbul giants have grown stronger.

In the wake of their stunning eighth successive Turkish League Finals success, they have not only extended the tenure of head coach Roberto Iniguez, Polish shooting ace Agnieszka Bibrzycka and veteran Turkish guard Esmeral Tuncluer, but have also added several new names.

Topping the bill is recent Turkish national team addition Quanitra Hollingsworth, who played against Fenerbahce in the final of the EuroLeague Women Final Eight en-route to winning gold with UMMC Ekaterinburg.

Joining the center in the paint as part of a deep and exciting six player rotation, will be French national team star Isabelle Yacoubou who is leaving Sparta&K M.R. Vidnoje, as well as Turkish prospect Tugce Canitez who broke into the senior national team last summer and will now play her first pro-season after completing her NCAA career.
