The seventh place at the U20 European Championship Women belongs to the Slovak Republic after they defeated Serbia 68-56 on Sunday.

Slovakia opened the game with a 17-3 run, and never looked back.

Serbia was again missing three of their starters - Natasa Kovacevic, Aleksandra Stanacev and Kristina Topuzovic - due to sickness, but early in the fourth quarter closed the gap to 55-48 on a triple from Zorana Marinkovic.

However, Angelika Slamova and Beáta Janoscíkova did not allow them to get any closer than that.

The victors finished the game above shooting at above 50% from the field, compared to 35.8% from their opponents.

Slamova, Janoscikova and Sabína Oroszova all scored 15 points in victory, while Marinkovic netted 19 in defeat.
