One of the EuroBasket 2013 main sponsors, Triglav, who operate in seven of the competing countries, marked the beginning of EuroBasket with the opening of an exhibition displaying the national team jerseys of all competing nations.

The purpose of the display is to present Slovenia as a country of many cultural, artistic and sports people to the world.

The exhibition, which is located in front of Triglav's Zavarovalnica Triglav office building, which was designed by the great Slovenian architect Jože Plečnik, will serve as the canvas for the special exhibition during EuroBasket.

It will allow visitors to Ljubljana and Slovenia to familiarise themselves with the official team jerseys of the 24 countries who will compete in the championship, and also learn additional interesting facts about each of the nations.

"The purpose of sports is to bond nations through positive emotions. As a main sponsor and official insurance company of the biggest sports event in the history of independent Slovenia, we wanted to present the closeness between countries in a special way.

"An exhibition on such a cultural monument as Plečnik's building gives the sports event a special charm," said the President of the Management board of Zavarovalnica Triglav Andrej Slapar at the official opening of the exhibition on Tuesday.
