Slovenian company Fructal have joined Hypo Alpe Adria as a main sponsor of EuroBasket 2013 after signing a contract agreement with EP 2013 L,L.C., the company which is responsible for the organisation of the event.
Beverages specialist Fructal is owned by Serbian company Nectar and is one of the success stories in the Slovenian market and adistribution network which extends to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia and F.Y.R. of Macedonia.
The signing of event partners has picked up pace in the last few weeks with the Slovenian organisers concluding deals with Panvita (official supplier), the security company Sintal Group (official supplier) and the Jezeršek Catering Company (licenced partner).
"This agreement is a result of a lot of effort we have both invested recently and I am proud that we managed to start cooperation with such a successful and recognizable company as Fructal," commented Aleš Križnar, Director of EP 2013 L,L.C.
Iztok Rems, Secretary General of Slovenian Basketball Federation echoed that view: "Fructal is a respected company, which, like our other sponsors, takes care of the quality of its products the same way that we take care of the quality of the EuroBasket and all events associated with it."
Luka Jejčič, chairman of the Fructal Board, confirmed that his company, just like the organisers enters EuroBasket 2013 with great expectations.
"We are proud that we can support sponsoring the European basketball championship," said Jejčič . "Sport, and especially such an important championship, brings people together and carries many positive values; while on the other hand, it stimulates the economy."
"We decided to invest in taking over Fructal about a year ago, making it the largest Serbian investment in Slovenia and the EU, because we believe in the potential of the company," commented Bojan Radun, the Executive Director of Nectar.
"We believe that Fructal's products create many market opportunities in the region. EuroBasket is an excellent opportunity to introduce Fructal even outside the regional borders."
