Angelika Slamova fired 18 points for the Slovak Republic in a 70-55 victory against Sweden as a late burst helped them secure ninth spot at the U18 European Championship Women in Bucharest on Sunday.
When Gabriella Hanson put Sweden 44-43 ahead during the third quarter, it looked like there would be a tense final.
The Slovak Republic however posted a powerful and decisive last fifteen minutes to ease their way clear.
Swedish center Paulina Hersler claimed a double-double of 14 points and 10 rebounds to wrap up an impressive display in the Romanian capital, but it wasn't enough for Sweden to finish inside the top ten positions.
The Slovak Republic meanwhile landed their fourth win in five games to sign off in style.
They were helped by Lucia Hadacova who did a fine job on the glass with eleven rebounds.
