Greece will have the chance to play for ninth spot on the last day of the U18 European Championship after they produced a sensational last 10 minutes of action to pick up a 59-52 success against Slovenia.
Heading into the final quarter, it had looked as if it would be another pivotal line from Eva Lisec which would hand Slovenia the victory, but her team imploded.
Trailing 50-41, Greece produced their best basketball of the tournament to turn the game completely on its' head.
With forward Vasiliki Karambatsa also offering her best form and finishing with 14 points, nine rebounds and two blocks, Greece managed to shock their opponents with a one-sided and spectacular last period.
They left Slovenia completely stunned as they did the business at both baskets, pouring in 18 points on offence and putting the shutters up defensively by giving up just one solitary score.
Lisec had 10 points and 12 rebounds for Slovenia whose best possible finish is now 11th.
