Frank Menz took over as head coach of Germany after serving as an assistant coach during last summer's EuroBasket Qualification Round

Asides from Great Britain whose head coaching role remains up for question, Group A at EuroBasket 2013 will see familiar tacticians drawing up the game plans courtside with a number of returning coaches joined by another who is no stranger to EuroBasket tournaments, but enters this one as head coach for the first time.

Stepping out of the shadows this summer will be Frank Menz who takes over the head coaching role of Germany, a team he has currently worked for as an assistance coach. Menz has worked his way through the German coaching system with previous experience at the head of the German U20 and U16 teams.

Dividing his time between working as a television analyst for the Brooklyn Nets in the NBA and coaching the Ukrainian basketball team, a job he has held since February 2011, Mike Fratello will be making sure his focus is solely on the Ukrainians come summer. The 65-year-old has previous coaching experience in the United States with the Atlanta Hawks, Memphis Grizzlies and Cleveland Cavaliers.

Vincent Collet returns to the helm of Les Blues for a third consecutive EuroBasket and will be desperately awaiting to see which of the bevvy of Frenchmen playing in the NBA will be at his disposal as he begins to plot how to turn 2011 silver into 2013 gold.

A familiar face retains the reins at Israel as Arik Shivek returns for his third EuroBasket. Shivek is a familiar face pounding the sidelines in European basketball, having begun coaching European club teams back in 1983. Shivek's best finish as head coach for Israel came two years ago when he lead the Israelites into the Final Round in Lithuania.

EuroBasket 2013 marks the fifth time that veteran coach Eddy Casteels has run the show for Belgium at a EuroBasket tournament, and the second consecutive time he has steered his team through qualification to the Final Round. Leaving Lithuania winless in 2011, Casteels will be hoping for better results this time round.
