Back at EuroBasket Women for the first time since 1987, Sweden have named a lengthy preparation roster as they hope for good news on the fitness and availability of key personnel.

Crucially, shooting ace Frida Eldebrink looks set to return from a wrist problem which curtailed her participation during the second half of the season with Bourges Basket.

She is likely to be the kingpin for the Swedes after finishing as the top scorer last summer, with 20.9 points-per-game - the highest average of anyone participating in the qualifying campaign.

Meanwhile Louice Halvarsson leads the way in the paint and she had looked likely to miss the tournament with a knee injury, but Sweden are hopeful their leading rebounder will be able to prove her fitness during the next six weeks.

Exciting forward Farhiya Abdi is off to California to link up with Los Angeles Sparks, although she has still been named and may yet join the team at the last minute if she is released ahead of the forthcoming WNBA season.

The rest of the list includes Elin Eldebrink, who finished with a team-high 4.3 assists and 1.8 steals-per-game last year, as well as veteran forward Kadidja Andersson, who has been playing some of the best basketball of her career in the Slovakian League and EuroCup Women with MBK Ruzomberok.

Sweden take off to Boson for a preparation camp next week and will return to Europe to play in Serbia (25 & 26 May) before hosting a tournament in Sodertalje against Latvia (31 May), Turkey (01 June) and Great Britain (02 June).

Their last pre-EuroBasket Women action will then come against Japan (09 June), Lithuania (10 June) and China (11 June) before they head for the big event in France where they will play in Group B alongside Italy Russia and Spain.

The full roster is as follows: Malin Aasa (Norrkoping Dolphins), Farhiya Abdi (BK IMOS Brno), Frida Aili (Northland Basket), Kadidja Andersson (MBK Ruzomberok), Katarina Andersson (Solna Vikings),Anna Barthold (Northland Basket), Elisabeth Egnell (Norrkoping Dolphins), Elin Eldebrink (CUS Cagliari), Frida Eldebrink (Bourges Basket ) Mariyam Gultekin (Canik Belediyesi), Louice Halvarsson (CUS Cagliari), Danielle Hamilton (Georgia Tech), Salome Kabengano (Temple University), Ashley Key (Mark Basket), Johanna Kallman (Norrkoping Dolphins), Jenny Lidgren (Udominate Basket), Kalis Loyd (Lamar University), Tanya Massamba (Norrkoping Dolphins), Agnes Nordstrom (Sallen Basket), Josefin Olheim (Telge Basket), Jennifer Stjarnstrom (Telge Basket), Martina Staalvant (Northland Basket), Josefin Vesterberg (Northland Basket ), Stefanie Yderstrom (University of Miami)
