Daria Kolosovskaia of Russia was named tournament MVP

Daria Kolosovskaia added to her gold medal at the U18 European Championship Women by being crowned MVP of the tournament after helping Russia to the top of the podium in Matosinhos.

The versatile small forward had a terrific competition and her 19 points in the showpiece game was instrumental in landing the title for her team

The Bratsk native finished with an outstanding 15.7 points, 5.1 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 1.9 steals per game to receive the most votes from the various head coaches.

The play-callers also selected four players to line-up alongside the MVP in the tournament's top five.

Louise Dambach (France) set the tone for her side with some superb defence that corralled 2.8 steals per game to go with 11.1 points and 4.6 rebounds each time she stepped onto the floor.

Angela Salvadores (Spain) showed why she was MVP of the FIBA U17 World Championship for Women only weeks earlier, by dazzling fans with her passing skills and all-round game. She averaged 17.2 points, four rebounds, 2.7 steals and 2.1 assists per game.

Aleksandra Crvendakic (Serbia) just missed out on a bronze medal having won one last year in Vukovar, but did everything she could to inspire her side with 24 points against Spain in the fight for the last podium place. She averaged 14 points, 7.1 boards and 2.4 assists.

Tatiana Sema (Russia) joined her team-mate in the line-up after accumulating a tournament double-double of 10.6 points and 11.3 rebounds per game. However it was arguably her defensive work whichtruly stood out with three steals and a brilliant 2.9 blocks per game.
