The Netherlands continue to roll on regardless at the U18 European Championship Women in Vukovar after they shrugged off host nation Croatia to record a 59-35 victory in Group E and remain unbeaten.
Backed by passionate, noisy home support, Croatia had coped well with their unbeaten opponents during the early exchanges, especially defensively.
Indeed it was a defensively-orientated contest for the entire first-half and with scores very much noticeable due to their general absence, Netherlands crawled into a 19-13 advantage at the interval.
It was during the third quarter that the Dutch team finally found some rhythm and they surpassed their first-half total inside six minutes with a visible uplift in tempo.
They locked down Croatia for over four minutes and raced away with a Klaziena Guijt basket making it 42-24 and effectively killing off the hopes the Croatians may have had of upsetting the form book.
Emese Hof produced a smart performance in the paint with six of eight floor shooting helping her to accumulate 12 points to compliment 10 rebounds.
