Ural Ekaterinburg pulled away in the fourth quarter to beat Team TEHO Sport Kotka 86-75 and extend their EuroChallenge winning streak to eight games.
Ekaterinburg trailed by nine midway through the second quarter but fought their way back onto level terms in the third period before racing away to victory at the finish of this Group L contest in the Last 16.
An 11-0 fourth quarter run put them in complete control and made sure a late rally from the hosts was not enough.
After a close start, Kotka made their move with an 11-0 run of their own, leading 31-22 when Ryan Ayers nailed a three-pointer.
But in the third quarter three-pointers from Fedor Kliuchnikov and Dmitry Flis fuelled an Ekaterinburg comeback which saw them take the lead on a Flis dunk with 5:07 left in the period.
An intense battle followed but Aaron McGhee's jump-shot two-and-a-half minutes into the fourth quarter began Ekaterinburg's decisive run, and they led 76-63 on McGhee's jump-shot with 5:35 to go.
When Sharaud Curry reeled off four quick points Kotka got it back to 80-75 with 79 seconds to go but they could get no closer.
McGhee finished with 29 points while Kliuchnikov had 13. Lance Harris was a monster on the boards with 21 rebounds and 11 points.
Curry collected 20 points, nine rebounds and eight assists, while Chris Owens scored 19 with six boards.
