|Jelena Dubljevic was the lynchpin in Prague's second-straight victory, picking up seven boards to accompany 14 points |
Sparta&K M.R. Vidnoje had their 15 game winning streak on home soil ended by ZVVZ USK Prague who secured a 57-47 victory to remain unbeaten in EuroLeague Women Group C.
A poor start and equally disappointing finish killed off the hosts' chances as Prague head coach Natalia Hejkova grabbed a win at the club where she once lifted back-to-back EuroLeague Women titles.
The visitors enjoyed a vibrant start, racing into a 15-4 lead with nine early points from Sparta&K turnovers.
With Montengrin forward Jelena Dubljevic looking ominously dangerous, Prague retained control and that trend continued.
The home team was focusing almost exclusively on getting ball inside and when they finally looked after the ball better, they were able to cut the deficit to single digits at 30-21 by half-time.
Still trailing 39-30 during the third quarter, the young Sparta&K side made their move.
Some nice play by rising star Julia Gladkova helped them finish the period with a flourish by scoring seven points in a row, as Nika Baric tied the game from the free-throw line.
However, led by Dubljevic who finished with 14 points and seven boards, the visitors exploded once again to canter to victory in a dominant final 10 minutes.
Nika Baric and Asjha Jones both had 12 points for the losing team.
