|Matic Rebec had 29 points, 13 assists and eight boards for Slovenia|
Slovenia rode a massive night from point guard Matic Rebec to claim their first win at the U18 European Championship with an 85-77 win in classification Group G.
Slovenia got off to another hot start, but looked in danger of dropping a fifth consecutive outing when their scoring dropped off in the second quarter.
But 29 points, eight rebounds and 13 assists later, Rebec had ensured Slovenia their first win of the tournament while Bulgaria remained empty handed.
Rebec had Slovenia to a quick start, but Bulgaria fought their way back into the contest thanks largely to 30 points and 10 rebounds from Aleksandar Vezenkov.
Vezenkov poured in 14 third-quarter points to propel Bulgaria into the lead before Rebec went on a tear to score 16 points across the final 16 minutes of the game.
