Turning Point: Okben Ulubay scored the last four points of the third quarter, turning a slender four-point lead into a more comfortable eight point buffer going into the final frame.

Game Hero: Egemen Guven. The 2.06 metre center finished with 19 points and nine rebounds, narrowly missing out on a double-double.

Stats Don't Lie: Germany failed to hit a three-pointer in three quarters of basketball, forcing them to play inside the paint. Against the superior height of Turkey, it was a battle that the Germans were always going to struggle to win.

Turkey have used their size to power past Germany 67-56 and book their semi-final spot at the Dadu U16 European Championship Men.

In the day's third quarter-final, Germany stuck with Turkey for the best part of three quarters but having worn the Germans down with their physical style of basketball, the Turks began to look outside the arc more often in the final frame, going three-for-four from beyond the perimeter to open up a comfortable buffer.

Against the superior height of Turkey, Harald Stein's team were already presented with a difficult challenge that became all the more tougher when their second highest scorer in the tournament to date, Joshcka Ferner was assisted from the court with an ankle injury at the end of the opening quarter.

Both teams had struggled with their shooting in the first quarter and it did not look like improving in the second, with Turkey shooting at 36.7% from the field and Germany 30% for the opening half. When the half-time buzzer sounded, Turkey lead 26-23.

Turkey's accuracy began to improve in the second half whilst Germany's dropped as they only managed to pick up six points from the field in the third quarter.

Even with Ulubay opening up an eight-point lead for Turkey with a period to play, Germany remained a chance of coming back. However, when the Turks began landing their shots from downtown, the writing was on the wall for the Germans.

Helping out Guven with 10 points off the bench was Okben Ulubay.

Jan Wimberg picked up 13 points for Germany.
