Serbia have seen off a late comeback from Greece to win their opening second round game, 62-53, at the Dadu U16 European Championship Men.
Holding onto a comfortable 11-point lead with a little over eight minutes remaining, Serbia were given some causes for concern late in the game as influential Greek point guard Dimitrios Stamatis brought his team back within two points with the clock showing 2:13 to play.
Stamatis finished with a game-high 17 points.
But Serbia maintained their composure and with Jovan Starincevic sinking a free-throw and following it up with a lay-up on Serbia's next offensive play to put his team's lead back out to six points with 40 seconds to play, Serbia began to breath easier.
Starincevic ended with a team-high 12 points. Nikola Pavlovic chipped in with an 11-point, 11-rebound double-double.
On Tuesday Serbia take on France, whilst Greece seek their first win of the second round when they face Germany.
