Salamanca To Host EuroLeague Women Final Four

FIBA Europe announced on Monday that the 2009 EuroLeague Women Final Four will be held in Salamanca, Spain, home of Final Four participants Halcon Avenida.

The event will kick off on Friday, 3rd April with the Semi-Finals pitting the hosts against Hungarian side MKB Euroleasing and defending champions Spartak Moscow Region taking on Russian rivals UMMC Ekaterinburg.

The final and third place game will take place on Sunday, 5th April.

Spain last hosted a EuroLeague Women Final Four in 1993 in the city of Lliria.
