For the second straight season fans of women's basketball across Europe and the globe will have the chance to see the world's best teams and players in the comfort of their own living rooms.
FIBA Europe announced on Tuesday that sports cable giant Eurosport 2 will broadcast live or on delay one EuroLeague Women game per week this season, including the Play-Offs and the Final Four which will take place 9th to 11th April, 2010.
Last season one EuroLeague Women game per week was broadcast by Eurosport 2 from the Eight Finals onward.
The action will begin with a game between Turkish giants Fenerbahce and Polish side Lotos Gdynia on Wednesday 27th October at 22:15 CET. One week later Good Angels Kosice will host French powerhouse Bourges. Defending champions Spartak Moscow Region, Spanish giants Ros Casares and Czech side Frisco Brno also feature on the schedule.
"This will be our second season working with Eurosport 2, and it will again be a great opportunity for the game of women's basketball to gain exposure," said FIBA Europe President George Vassilakopoulos.
"Eurosport is the best known sports channel in Europe and we're happy to be working with them again."
Eurosport 2 broadcasts to 38 million households in 14 languages across 46 countries in Europe.
Eurosport 2 is part of the Eurosport Group, Europe's leading sports entertainment group.
