EuroBasket 2009 Tickets Go On Sale

With the first day of EuroBasket 2009 now less than five months away FIBA Europe and the Polish Basketball Federation have announced the beginning of ticket sales for Europe's premier basketball event.

Tickets can be purchased in person at any of 300 Eventim offices across Poland or by visiting their website at http://eurobasket.eventim.pl/, which can be accesed in both Polish and English.

"This is an exciting day in the lead up to EuroBasket 2009 and for European basketball in general," said FIBA Europe President George Vassilakopoulos.

"These ticket prices make EuroBasket 2009 an accessible and affordable event for fans across Europe." added FIBA Europe Secretary General Nar Zanolin.

Prices range from €75 for Category One tickets to the Third Place and Championship game on September 20th to just €10 for Preliminary Round Category Three tickets.        

"This is an event for the fans.  They will be the most important part of EuroBasket 2009." said Polish Basketball Federation President Roman Ludwiczuk.

"I am happy that together with Eventim we can offer fans around Europe attractive ticket packages."
