Dmitry Kulagin – Russia and Nizhny Novgorod

Russia never having reached the Semi-Finals of an U18 European Championship clearly was a disgrace for Dmitry Kulagin who decided to change this and took Russia all the way to the Final. The shooting guard contributed 12.4 points, 4.2 rebounds and 4.1 assists per game and was the tournament leader in steals at 2.6 per contest. With Russian PBL newcomers Nizhny Novgorod he was red hot in EuroChallenge at the beginning of the season as well as in the PBL.
