Mateusz Ponitka - Poland and Telenet Ostende

10. Mateusz Ponitka (Poland)

A standout amongst a talented Polish generation, Ponitka had already roughed it with the big boys in 2012, but the small forward still had unfinished business to deal to at youth level. That was achieved when he averaged 15.6 points and 5.5 rebounds at the U20 European Championship Division B, leading the Poles back to Division A. He then returned to the Poland senior team, coming off the bench at EuroBasket. The 20-year-old is now averaging close to 20 minutes a night for Telenet Ostende in the Eurocup.
