The meeting came just 3 weeks after FIBA Europe and ULEB came to an agreement which ended a 4-year dispute over European Club Competitions.

Besides assigning the 2007 European Championships for Men and Women to Spain and Italy, the 2009 and 2011 European Championships for Men to Poland and Lithuania and the 12 European Youth Championships in 2005, the Board unanimously approved the report of the President and discussed several models for the future structure of FIBA and its Zones.

Finally, the Board recognised the work of Executive Director Nar Zanolin, and decided to extend his present contract by a further four years.
