The decision, in the first instance, made by the FIBA Europe Judge to disqualify UMMC Ekaterinburg from the EuroLeague Women for use of ineligible players has been upheld by the judge appointed by the Appeals Commission.
Ekaterinburg was given the right to appeal, which they exercised. The appeal was heard on 16th March 2004 in Munich, Germany in front of the judge nominated by the FIBA Europe Appeals Commission.
