The Mayor of Valencia, Rita Barberá, sat at midcourt on Sunday beside Ros Casares president German Ros and watched as Spartak Moscow Region beat Ros Casares in a thrilling title game, 87-80. |

The Year of Women's Basketball, an 18-month campaign by FIBA Europe aimed at highlighting women´s basketball and increasing recognition and respect for the sport in Europe, officially ended during EuroBasket Women 2007 in Chieti, Italy. With the best of Europe battling on the floor and a variety of expositions of female uniforms- including one featuring their past, present and future -taking place off of it, there was plenty to occupy and educate fans. |

Year of Women’s Basketball Project Manager will be heading to Scotland this weekend to see some of the activities related to the project that are being organised by Basketball Scotland.
On Saturday, Wender will be visiting Bathgate Academy in West Lothian to attend a Junior Women's training session followed by a Year of Women's Basketball event. |

Scotland Junior Women’s National Team Head Coach Donna Finnie took charge of a basketball camp at Mayfield Sports Centre, Tayside in Scotland at the weekend.
The “Girls Allowed”, an event only for females, was organised by SportTayside & Fife and attracted over 40 girls between the age of 11 and 18 from all parts of Tayside and Fife. |

Wender spoke about the Year of Women's Basketball project and how it can help to further develop basketball in Europe. |
