Year of Women’s Basketball Logo Launched In Budapest

The Year of Women’s Basketball logo was officially launched today at the Hotel Stadion in Budapest. The logo was unveiled by the the campaign ambassador, BC Volgaburmash captain and Russian national team player Ilona Korstin.

The dynamic and highly-visible logo was presented during a media lunch in the presence of FIBA guests, media and players taking part in the first-ever EuroLeague Women All-Star game.

The logo of the Year of Women's Basketball was created specifically to support FIBA Europe's desire to raise awareness and attention for European women's basketball.

The strong and fashionable colours and the woman in the logo are intended to make a lasting impression on many different types of sports fans and attempts to portray the attractiveness of women's basketball.

The logo will be highly visible on the court during events and television broadcasts as well as in promotional and merchandise items.

Prior to the tip-off of the EuroLeague Women All-Star game in Pecs, the logo will be presented to the general public for the first time.
