Spartak Moscow will introduce the Year of Women's Basketball during a 30-minute opening ceremony prior to their EuroLeague Women game on Wednesday against MKB Euroleasing Sopron.
Along with showcasing the Year of Women's Basketball, the ceremony will be used to honour the Russian basketball centennial.
The festivities will take place in the newly built state of the art S.K.Vidnoje Arena. Spartak will be playing their inaugural game in the new facility.
Top performers are scheduled to appear as part of the pre-game ceremony.
Afterwards, Spartak Moscow and MKB Euroleasing Sopron will play in which should be one of the top EuroLeague Women games on the schedule this week.
Both clubs enter play with 3-0 records.
