The Final of the OMNITEL U18 European Championship officially set a new attendance record for Youth Basketball games in Europe.

13.000 people wanted to see the hosts take on Russia in the showdown of a fantastic tournament.
After the thrilling Semi-Final win over Serbia on Saturday evening, people were lined up in front of Siemens Arena on early Sunday morning to obtain one of the last tickets to be sold.
Not for all of them the dream of watching the long awaited final in the Lithuanian capital came true since the venue was completely sold.
"It is an amazing achievement for the OMNITEL U18 European Championship to conclude with such a fantastic crowd" commented Lithuanian Federation Secretary General Mindaugas Balciunas.
FIBA Europe Secretary General Nar Zanolin added: "The love for Basketball in this country is simply incredible. We are very proud of this new record and I want to thank the organizers of the U18 European Championship as well as all the great fans that made this record possible."
Lithuania won the Final in great fashion 90-61 to capture the gold medal and make their countrymen proud.
