The technology systems developed by the FIBA Europe Techno Centre are rapidly becoming the golden standard for national basketball federations and leagues throughout Europe.
In the last couple of weeks alone, the French Basketball Federation (FFBB) announced it will adopt the Digital ScoreSheet (DSS) technology, while the Spanish Basketball Federation (FEB) will most likely follow suit very soon.
Now one of Europe's fastest growing leagues, the German Basketball Bundesliga (BEKO BBL) has expressed a strong interest.
To that effect, representatives of the German league visited the FIBA Europe headquarters on Monday.
FIBA Europe Head of Operations Miguel Betancor and Antonio Ojeda of the FIBA Europe Techno Centre were at hand to deliver a thorough presentation of the latest advances to come out of the FIBA Europe technological hub.
Jens Staudenmayer of BEKO BBL and Dr. Christoph Dreckmann of the Institute for Game Analysis were introduced to the DSS software, the Observer software and the Video Report Online Platform.
The Beko BBL is looking to implement possibly all three technology systems to the benefit of clubs, coaches and referees in Germany's top flight.
