The French Basketball Federation (FFBB) has become the newest partner of the FIBA Europe Techno Centre and it will introduce the Digital Score Sheet (DSS) technology to its events, it was decided in a meeting between the two organisations in Paris on Thursday. The event in the FFBB headquarters in the French capital was attended by President Jean-Pierre Siutat, the Secretary General of the Federation, Marie-Noëlle Serfdom, FIBA Europe Techno Centre representatives Miguel Betancor and Antonio Ojeda, and over 20 other FFBB and LNB (French League) staff. The FIBA Europe Techno Centre team presented to FFBB the evolution of DSS, the Video Game Platform and the Observers Programme and received a positive feedback. FFBB will now use the DSS technology in the French Cup Final later this season and in the Finals of the LNB playoffs. "I am very pleased about this agreement," commented Miguel Betancor. "This is the first time a National Federation starts a direct cooperation with the Techno Centre; it is an important step in the effort to make technology an integral part of basketball's continuous development and a big step to the future," Betancor concluded. "It was a great experience for our staff to be able to have a closer look at the projects of the Techno Centre," added Siutat. "I am sure both sides can only benefit from this cooperation." |
