After working successfully together for almost 10 years FIBA Europe and Head of Operations Miguel Betancor, are parting ways by mutual consent.

Spaniard Betancor has requested that his contract is terminated with immediate effect for personal reasons.

Betancor, a former international referee, has been working with FIBA Europe since 2003, when he first accepted the position of co-ordinator of the then newly created Referees department which concentrated on the development and education of all European FIBA Referees.

Betancor has officiated over 400 international games, including the 1996 Olympic Games, two World Championships (1994 and 1998) and three EuroBaskets (1993, 1999 and 2003).
