Bring it on! 200 teams have registered at the Sheffield 3on3 Tournament, setting a new participation record

Only the finishing touches remain in setting the stage for the biggest in terms of participation event of the FIBA Europe 3on3 Tour in Sheffield, England this weekend.

The number of registered teams, 200, represents a huge logistical challenge which the FIBA Europe 3on3 team are nonetheless well prepared to address successfully.

The response of the youth of Sheffield and surrounding areas to the event has actually been so overwhelming that the organisers had to limit team registrations to 200, so that the usual high standards of every FIBA Europe 3on3 Tour event could be safeguarded.

The venue of the Sheffield 3on3 Tournament is the Meadowhall Shopping Centre.

The tournament gets underway at 10am on Saturday morning and concludes on Sunday evening, with the dunk and three-point shooting contests taking place on the opening day.

The music DJs of Funky Town Entertainment and the dancing groups Castleford Tigers Dance Academy and Wakefield Wildcats Dolls will be performing on both days to make sure there is never a dull moment on or off the courts.

The organisers have also promised there will be surprises for both fans and participants, in the form of prizes and draws for tickets to the Olympic Basketball Tournament!
