Eight courts will be set up in the historic revolution square in the heart of Bucharest. The participants will play in front of the Romanian Athenaeum, a landmark of the city. The famous concert hall was named an UNESCO world heritage since 2007. The programme of the Bucharest Streetball Weekend offers a possibility to play for every age group, from kids to juniors and seniors. Romania's 3on3 university championship will also take place during the four days of competition and see the best players from all over the country competing for a medal and the prestigious title for their school. The top teams booked their ticket to the main event in Bucharest through qualification tournaments organised by the Romanian Student Sport Organisation, a FIBA Europe Universitas partner, in the four biggest regions of the country, The programme is rounded by a media cup, a company competition and a motivation cup for people with special needs, underlining FIBA Europe's philosophy, basketball for everyone. |
