Shchegoleva helped lead 2007 EuroBasket Women Champions Russia to a bronze medal at the 2008 Olympics, averaging 12.3 points and 5.8 rebounds per contest.  The 1.92m power forward was named to the EuroLeague Women All-Star game, and averaged 10.4 points and 4.6 rebounds per game for champions Spartak Moscow Region.
