Pyrrhic Victory For Khimik

Khimik sealed a last-gasp 68-67 in their final Group B EuroCup match at BC Barons but the victory was a pyrrhic one, with both sides eliminated.

Yaroslav Zubrytskyy, who would finish with a 14-point haul, sealed victory for the men from Ukraine seven seconds from the buzzer with the last scoring shot, a jump shot.

Barons Slump To Another Defeat

Spirou Charleroi heaped more misery on Group B cellar-dwellers BC Barons with an 80-66 win on Tuesday night.

Barons have now lost all five of their matches while Spirou Charleroi, who had already booked their place in the next round with last week's win over Khimik Yuzhny, improved their record to 4-1.

Dynamo Continue Winning Run

Dynamo Moscow Region made it four wins from four in the EuroCup after hammering Group B strugglers BC Barons Riga 80-61 on Tuesday.

Dynamo enjoyed a convincing start when power forward Joshua Davis made two free throws and a three-pointer in the opening couple of minutes to put the home side 5-0 ahead.

Khimik Edge Barons In Thriller

Khimik Yuzhny won the battle of the basement sides in Group B as they sneaked a narrow 79-76 victory over BC Barons Riga.

Both teams had lost their opening two EuroCup matches heading into this encounter in Ukraine, but it was hosts Khimik who were celebrating at the end after holding off an Armands Skele-inspired Barons.
