Spirou Charleroi joined Dynamo Moscow Region on two wins from two games at the top of Group B after defeating BC Barons 74-60 in Riga.
Two key scoring streaks in the first half settled the tie in Charleroi's favour as the Belgian side followed up their opening-round win over Khimik Yuzhny with another triumph.
The first charge from the visitors came early on when Charleroi turned a 4-2 deficit into a 21-6 lead, thanks in part to Gregory Grays who scored twice from three-point range and also made two successful free throws during the run.
To their credit, Barons managed to stage a mini-recovery after that but, having got back to within five points at 25-20, Charleroi went on another scoring spree.
Sparked by Cyril Akpomedah-Grant's three-pointer four minutes from halftime, Charleroi would score 12 unanswered points before going into the interval ahead at 40-27.
There was no way back for Barons after that as the Latvian side slumped to their second defeat in consecutive Group B matches.
Grays finished with 19 points - including four successful three-pointers - for victorious Charleroi, as well as hauling down six rebounds.
The American shooting guard did not have to do it all himself though, and he received valuable support from his countryman Andre Riddick, who scored 13 points, grabbed six rebounds, handed out three assists and blocked five shots.
Another American, Alton Mason, top-scored with 16 points for a Barons side who made just two of their 16 three-point attempts.
